Are pregnancy calculators really true?

Are pregnancy test calculator really true?

As stated by others, your pregnancy is usually measured from the first day of your last menstrual cycle. Most (not all) women ovulate toward the middle of their 28-32 day cycle. So it can differ woman to woman. It makes it easier to make the assumption of how far along you are based on your last period. This other person may be referring to the gestational age of their fetus which is from the point of conception. So pregnancy being 40 weeks long, is a gestational age of 38 weeks because most women are not actually pregnant the first two weeks. Pregnancy wheels and calculators can vary by a few days. Measurements at ultrasounds can often give you a good idea of the progression of your pregnancy and your due date.

When I was pregnant, the pregnancy test calculator gave me a result of anywhere between september 11- 13 as a due date. My ultrasound gave a result of September 10. I gave birth the 8th. So in my case they were extremely accurate. Keep in mind, however, that babies will come when they're good and ready(up to 2 weeks late).

Congratulations!
